This was our first visit to this campground. The owner is friendly and helpful. The owner purchased the property a while ago and has been upgrading the property, but wants to keep it small. There is a stream that most of the sites back up to. the stream has two swimming holes and our kids loved that! There is a golf driving range which is popular. Our son enjoyed that. You can get three different size baskets of balls from the office. Almost all the sites are a good size and are gravel. The bathrooms were not as clean as I like, but they were adequate. Not many sites so it is very peaceful and quiet. There are some permanent campers here and we spoke to one couple who come every summer for 6 weeks at a time and they love it! There isn't much to their store, just ice and drinks. But a Walmart is only 5 minutes away. Our laptop got onto their internet service fine and was a strong signal. We hear the owner puts on a great 4th of July show and even some locals come to watch. We would camp here again.

We camped here for a week. The sites are a great size and we had plenty of room which is great when you have children. The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow which, for the whole week, was $15.00 to use. You can also pay by the day to use it. They put wristbands on the children each day. They have a pool, which the family enjoyed. The only reason I gave the campground a 9 was because they didn't sweep around the pool under the chairs and so forth regularly so it was a little dirty at times. And also the pool furtniture needs to be scrubbed badly. There are two bath areas. One is a bath house near the cabins with individual rooms. Each room has a private shower, toilet, sink, and a bench. The other bath area is located in the same building as the office. You need a code to enter and there are stalls with just showers or just toilets. The office is located on the 2nd floor of the building so if you are handicapped and you can't climb stairs you won't have access to the office, store, or eatery. They have a variety of horses and you can take lessons and ride the trails with the staff. My children loved it! The trails are not flat so be cautious. The staff was very nice. From what I understand, the new owners bought the campground a few years ago and have been fixing it up. The sites are gravel and the one we had was pretty well leveled. Some sites have decks which I am sure cost extra. There are also theme weekends for the children. Down the street are two family owned wineries. One took us on a small tour and tasting and the other just does tasting. All free and a nice place to visit. There is a walmart in town and other places to visit nearby. The KOA staff can help you plan your outings. I would come back here again.

Excellent RV park! We were very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathhouse was clean and new. There were swimming pools, water slides, paddle boats, a gaming area, and a playground. We chose a site near the playground and lake. It was well shaded and clean. There are a number of cabins available which are new and looked wonderful. This is a nice campground for the kids to ride their bikes around. They have activites for the family on the weekends. We are planning on going again in three weeks and then again in October for one of their Halloween weekends.

We stayed 2 nights in this campground. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The Campground was clean and the sites were well maintained. We visited the area nearby and had a wonderful time at the Lost Sea and the Mayfield Milk and Ice Cream Dairy. The campground was close to the interstate which made traveling easy. We could not here the interstate traffic at all. If we visited the area again we would stay at this KOA.

We camped here with our daughter's Girl Scout Troop. My husband and I were in a pop-up and the girls were in tents. We found the bathrooms to be wonderful. They were new and very clean with many showers and toilets. The grounds were very nice. One swimming pool was open and it was large and clean. The girls played putt-putt on a very nice course. Some things weren't open yet for the season, like the other pool and one of the stores. I am from Virginia Beach and there is plenty of things to do in this area. Close by is the Virginia Aquarium and the ocean. We drove through the campground the weekend before to see where we would be taking the girls and it was packed. That was Memorial Day weekend. We stayed the following weekend and it was a lot less crowded. I give a rating of an 8 because the campsites were close together. As for the jets, thats life in Viginia Beach no matter where you camp or live here. Its the sound of freedom and locals have learned to live with it.
